Privacy Policy

Gacha Codex is operated by an independent creator. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and how to ask for its removal.

What we collect

• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 records page visits, referrer, device type, and approximate geolocation (city / region). Data is aggregated; we don't identify individual readers.
• Advertising: This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalised ads via aboutads.info. Consent for personalised vs non-personalised ads is collected via the Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) banner shown on your first visit; you can change your choice any time by clearing cookies for this domain.
• Reader comments & contact form: if you submit a comment or contact message we store:
  • Name — optional; an empty name renders as "Anonymous".
  • Message content — required, up to 2000 characters.
  • IP address — kept for 30 days as an anti-abuse signal.
  • User agent — same purpose; 30 days.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile token — used once to confirm you're not a bot, then discarded.
  All comments are reviewed before publishing. Approved comments stay public until you ask for removal (see below).
• No accounts. The site has no login system.

Cookies

On your first visit a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) banner asks whether you Consent / Manage Options / Decline. Once you choose, AdSense and Google Analytics 4 set their cookies accordingly. You can revisit your choice by clearing site data for ntecodex.com in your browser settings.

Removing your data

To delete a comment you wrote, submit a new comment on the same article with the subject line "Delete request" and enough detail to identify the original (rough timestamp + a phrase from the text is fine). We process delete requests within 7 days.

For analytics opt-out: EU/UK users can use YourOnlineChoices; US users can use AdChoices. Or use a browser-level "Do Not Track" / tracker-blocking extension.

Data retention

• IP addresses + user agents on messages: 30 days.
• Approved comment text + name: indefinitely (until delete request).
• Rejected / spam-flagged messages: 90 days, then purged.
• Analytics: standard GA4 retention (default 2 months on this site).

• Google Analytics — see Google's privacy policy.
• Google AdSense — see Google ads policy.
• Cloudflare — site hosting, DDoS mitigation, and Turnstile bot verification. See Cloudflare privacy.
• Supabase — backend storage for the comment moderation queue. See Supabase privacy.

Changes

The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current revision. We do not email readers about policy changes (we have no mailing list); please re-read this page if you've left a comment recently.
